What is Being Intentional?

Being Intentional is being a creator of your own destiny and living on a purpose. Instead of automatically responding to the thoughts and feelings which run through your mind, being intentional allows you to identify what’s most important to you and act accordingly. Your intention has the power to change your life. The intention is the starting point of every dream. It is the creative power that fulfills all your needs, whether it is for money, relationships, spiritual awakening, or love. Everything that happens in the universe begins with an intention.

When you are living life on autopilot without intention or purpose, you are letting life pass you by. You are letting the things and people around you control you. But when you start to become more intentional, you take back that control. And when you take back control, you start creating your own destiny. It’s an incredibly empowering feeling! It’s also one of the main reasons why living with intention increases self-confidence, happiness, and joy while raising your vibration.

There have been some studies that demonstrate that our intentions, thoughts, and words can physically alter the world around us. Using the right intention is imperative to raise your vibration.

To be intentional the first step is to know what you want—what are your values, dreams, priorities, and goals? Why do you get out of bed each morning? What is your purpose and what makes you feel alive? And once you have answered these questions, then you align your actions accordingly. When you’re living life intentionally, you’re thinking about what you want to accomplish. You know what you’re aiming for in life and you’re taking the steps to make it happen.

This doesn’t mean that an intentional life is a perfect life—but it is a purposeful life. It’s finding the courage to let go of things that no longer serve you and to pursue things that make you feel alive. Being intentional means getting clear and upfront about what you want to achieve. Your vision, your purpose, and your goals.

For instance, say you decide that you want a closer and more loving relationship with your spouse. Or that you want to get that promotion at work. Or that you want to lose those last 10lbs. It takes effort and work to accomplish these things. But you take control, put in the work, and make them happen. That’s how being intentional means taking control. Instead of letting life pass you by, you’re the master of your life by steering it in the direction you want it to take.

Ways you can choose to be intentional NOW

  • Think of what you truly want to achieve

  • Figure out what you need to do to achieve it

  • Take time for self-reflection and declutter your mind

  • Visualize your future self and use it to make decisions today

  • Be mindful of the relationships that matter most

  • Be active and resourceful

  • Embrace positivity and trust that the universe is in your favor

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer explained intention as a force in the universe that allows act of creation to take place.

As per Dr. Deepak Chopra, an intention is a directed impulse of consciousness that contains the seed form of that which you aim to create. When you release your intentions into the fertile depths of your consciousness, they grow and flourish. Inherent in every intention and desire is the mechanics for its fulfillment. Our destiny is ultimately shaped by our deepest intentions and desires. “As your intention is, so is your will. As your will is, so is your deed. As your deed is, so is your destiny.”

As per Dr. Joe Dispenza, your personality creates your personal reality, if you want a new reality you may have to change your personality and your personality is only the sum of your thoughts and beliefs.

So, you must be conscious and aware of your thoughts and feelings all the time and that is a tremendous amount of commitment to yourself to be aware of the vibration you are sending out in the universe. Hence every morning before you get out of bed use positive words with conviction and emotions to affirm your intention for the day. Such as:

  • My day flows with ease and grace.

  • I am grateful, kind, peaceful, and joyful.

  • I feel safe as the universe always serves my highest good.

  • I radiate peace, love, joy, and compassion to everyone I meet.

  • All my work is done effortlessly with appreciation and gratitude.

  • Infinite cosmic intelligence leads and guides me in all my ways.

  • I am successful in every endeavor I go t

My wish for you is that all your intentions may come true!

Much love, Urmil
